With her extensive experience in commercial litigation, employment law, healthcare matters, and professional liability, McLeod brings a wealth of expertise to further enhance the firm’s litigation practice.

Prior to joining Spiro Harrison & Nelson, Christa McLeod gained invaluable experience in various legal areas at reputable law firms. She has successfully represented clients in the insurance, construction, and healthcare industries, handling breach of contract actions and defending against employment discrimination claims. McLeod also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable John D. O’Dwyer, Civil Division, Bergen County, further honing her legal expertise.
During her time at law school, Christa McLeod served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Esther Salas, U.S.D.J., District of New Jersey, where she gained firsthand experience in the federal judicial system. She was an esteemed member of the C. Willard Heckel Inn of Court, a prestigious organization focused on legal excellence and professionalism. Additionally, she made significant contributions as the Senior Notes Editor of the Rutgers Law Record. Her outstanding trial advocacy skills were recognized as she reached the semi-finals in both the Queens DA and ABA National Mock Trial competitions.
Christa McLeod holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.), cum laude, from Rutgers Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), summa cum laude, from Ramapo College of New Jersey. She is admitted to practice law in the State Bars of New Jersey, New York, and Florida, as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
As a member of the Justice Morris Pashman Inn of Court, the New Jersey State Bar Association, and the New York State Bar Association, Christa McLeod remains actively engaged in legal communities, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
